Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)
Carpeting Whitepaper

Carpeting poses one of the largest health issues related to IAQ. Outside dirt and off-gassing from newly installed carpeting are potentially very dangerous. When buying new carpeting the volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) should be limited to 50g/L and certified by Carpet and Rug Institute’s Green Label Plus Program. If adhesives are to be used, the Green Seal’s standard GS-36 should be referenced. Further research maybe be found in a white paper written by Antron regarding the VOC’s emitted from carpeting, recycled content, recycling of carpeting and specifications.
